Welcome to my blog. In the internet world, I am a little part that exists. Here you'll find recipes, rants, a few history lessons, and general silliness.

Last weekend I was at the bookstore with Greg. As I was walking past one shelf, a brilliant red book tucked in among dull colored books caught my eye. It looked like it was covered in velvet and had a heart cut out in the middle of the cover. Inside the heart was a blue dog. The book was entitled "Blue Dog Love". Being a sappy romantic, I had to take a look at it. It's the story of how Cajun artist George Rodrigue (I found out later he is famous for his blue dog paintings) and his wife Wendy met. The story is told by Wendy - it's quite entertaining. With tons of really cute blue dog art thought the book, it's one of those feel-good love stories from beginning to end. Valentine's day is right around the corner, so if you were looking to buy someone something other than the usual flowers or candy, try this book.

Well, gotta get ready for work now...maybe more later :)
