Welcome to my blog. In the internet world, I am a little part that exists. Here you'll find recipes, rants, a few history lessons, and general silliness.

Vampire Bumble Bee

Ever seen a vampire bumble bee? I have. Where, you ask? In my dream last night.

I seriously considered not telling all of you about this because I knew it would only fuel those rumors of me being strange and in need of medical help. But I figured what the heck....you'll think it even if I don't tell you, so I might as well share.

I don't remember very much of it except that I was a life size vampire bumble bee. I had on a yellow and black bumble bee costume and fangs. And not those fake plastic fangs...these were real. I was flying around in the lobby of a ritzy hotel and there was at some kind of formal event going on ~ I think it may have been New Years Eve. No one seemed especially scared of me, which is odd, because if I saw a vampire bumble bee flying around, I'd be running for my life. I don't think I bit anyone....I don't remember it if I did. Oh, and my stinger was on my nose. Kind of like the Tin Man's nose from the Wizard Of Oz but it came to a sharp point. And boy could I fly fast! I was zipping around at top speed.

So there you have it ~ a look into my twisted dream. I have no desire to know what it means...it probably isn't good.

There is a radio station that's playing Christmas music 24/7. I liked it at first, but now all they seem to play is "I'll be home for Christmas" and "Jingle Bells". I suppose they think it's fine to do that so long as they have a different person signing it each time. I have not heard some of my most favorite songs played at all. There is one called "Little Toy Trains" by some woman who I don't know, and since I don't have it on a CD, my only chance of hearing it is while I'm listening to the radio. I may have to call in and request it.

Since I'm on the subject, I'd like to dedicate a Christmas song to my honey, Greg :)

Santa Baby

Santa baby, slip a sable under the tree, for me
I've been an awful good girl
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight

Santa baby, an out-of-space convertible too, Light Blue
I'll wait up for you dear
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight

Think of all the fun I've missed
Think of all the fellas that I haven't kissed
Next year I could be oh so good
If you'd check off my Christmas list

Santa honey, I want a yacht and really that's not a lot
I've been an angel all year
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight

Santa cutie, there's one thing I really do need, the deed
To a platinum mine
Santa cutie, and hurry down the chimney tonight

Santa baby, and fill my stocking with a duplex, and checks
Sign your 'X' on the line
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight

Come and trim my Christmas tree
With some decorations bought at Tiffany's
I really do believe in you
Let's see if you believe in me, too

bah doopy-do

Santa baby, forgot to mention one little thing, a ring
I don't mean on the phone
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight

Hurry down the chimney toniiiggghhht
