Green Around The Edges

Around 1pm I started getting hungry. I'm sick of the pretzels and Special K bars...which are the only snacks in my office. I dig around in my wallet to see how much money I have. I came up with a wopping $4.10 in change. I ventured off to the junk food store on campus since everything else is still closed (almost everything is closed when the students are away). There I find a ham and cheese sandwich for $3.50. Not the best looking sandwich I've seen, but when you're hungry, it's amazing what you'll eat. I buy it and then head over to my departments main office where they sell soda for .50 cents. I got lunch and have .10 cents to spare!

Then, even tho I can hardly wait to eat my lunch, I head up to the 5th floor to see my friend Bill who I worked with ages ago....he just started here yesterday. I figured I better get up there and see him while I was in the area. We chat for a little while and then I came back to my office and was ready to finally dig into my lunch.

Well, bad news. The ham was green around the edges.

I almost cried.

So here I sit....eating pretzels and drinking a soda. I guess I'll have a Special K bar for dessert :-/
