American Princess

I've started watching a reality TV show called American Princess. Reality TV isn't really my thing, but this one sucked me in because....well, what girl has not wanted to be a princess at some point in their life? We'll see if I stick with it....so far I'm interested but these kinds of shows can really grate on my nerves. I am watching Survivor now, and I do enjoy The Real Word, but the only problem is, these shows make me a little crazy with the editing. They make you think one thing is going on when really nothing is going on. It's the hook to get you watching. If the show was good, they would not have to do all the editing to keep you hooked. They do this editing business on The Real World all the time, but I hardly have time to get bored because it's only 30 minutes long....which really means it's only 20 minutes after all the commercials. Survivor on the other hand is and hour long and....good Lord, sometimes all the "he said/she said" gets to be too much and I have to get up and go do laundry or something. When I come back, I have not missed a thing...still yippin' on and on about the same thing. And I can only watch someone catch fish and build a shack so many times. This is mostly why I record it and watch it later. I can fast forward thru all the BS. I think it could easily be a 30 minute show.

But back to
American Princess. They had 20 girls to start and then cut it down to 10. These 10 will go to England and learn to be ladies and one will be crowned and given a title Lady....like Lady Diana Spencer. The thing that makes this interesting is these girls are all a little less than ladylike. You can sort of imagine what they are like. In the end, the one that cleans up the best will get the title. Like Survivor, this show is an hour long....and I bet it could be 30 minutes, but then there would be no time for all the cat fights and such. So this is why I said we'll see if I can stay with it.
