Welcome to my blog. In the internet world, I am a little part that exists. Here you'll find recipes, rants, a few history lessons, and general silliness.

Like A Vampire...

Many adults who are starved for affection, attention, or approval as children often burden others with a feeling of responsibility for their happiness. They
begrudge their family members and friends, accomplishments, interests, growth, and happiness. They are like vampires living on the lifes blood of others...never filled up, always sad, never satisfied, never happy. They choose to live this way. They choose to play the victim because it's they way they get the affection, attention, or approval they didn't get as a child. They are good at making other people feel bad for them....they are good at turning on the tears....they are drama at it's best.

Read that again....it's important.

Do you know someone like this?

I know someone like this.

Get over it.....get over being a victim....own up to the way life has played out....get a backbone. Your past does not define you. Your actions and the way you live your life defines you.

With that in mind, I'll leave you with a quote that has left a profound mark on me:

"When people say they are looking for happiness, I ask, "What are you giving to the world?" I'll never forget this couple who appeared on my show. The wife couldn't understand why their relationship had broken down. She kept saying, "He used to make me so happy. He doesn't make me happy anymore." What she couldn't see was that she was the cause of her own effect. Happiness is never something you get from other people. The happiness you feel is in direct proportion to the love you are able to give. If you think something is missing in your life or you're not getting what you deserve, remember there is no Yellow Brick Road. You lead life; it doesn't lead you."
