Welcome to my blog. In the internet world, I am a little part that exists. Here you'll find recipes, rants, a few history lessons, and general silliness.

I have two things to talk about today.

First, personal conversations.

The key word here is *personal*. Yesterday I was subjected to three different personal conversations that were pretty annoying. The most annoying of the three was a girl on her cell phone fighting with her boyfriend. Even tho I could only hear her side of things, I knew exactly what was going on:

She has a new apartment.

He invited friends over to have dinner at her place.

She's mad because she isn't finished unpacking and there are boxes in the hallway.

He has no idea what the big hairy deal is about people seeing boxes in the hallway.

I had to listen to this for 15 minutes while I was waiting for the shuttle.....so did the 20 other people waiting. She'd hang up on him and he'd call her back five seconds later and the whole thing would start all over again. I tell you, I was ready to kill her. Loud, obnoxious, no tact.....I cannot imagine what this dude sees in her. She must be a good kisser because there isn't much else there. And yes, she got on the shuttle, so there was another five minutes of this until we got to her stop. I think it's safe to say eveyone was happy to see her disembark.

The second annoying conversation was two guys talking about their friend who is dating an 18 year old chick. He's 24. They think this is poor judgment....tisk, tisk....blah, blah. I think they are just jealous that *they're* not dating her!

And the last one.....and this is a good one - a girl talking about her cross-dressing grandmother. Yes folks, I swear on a stack of bibles that a girl on the shuttle was talking about this.
*shakes head and will never understand people*

Second topic - crusty old Willie Nelson.

This man has issues bigger than any of us will ever understand. But I bet if you asked him, he'd tell you he lives a care free life and is happy as a lark. Reason I say this - the man smokes pot 24 hours a day!!! Hell, I'd be happy and care free too if I was always high! I heard him on the radio talking about how America is misguided in their fight against marijuana smokers. He says the police waste valuable time arresting these "otherwise law-abiding citizens who smoke marijuana responsibly". *clears throat here*

He continued to say to those who may have been recently busted for position of marijuana: "rather than curse the darkness, light a candle". Can't you just hear him saying that? *rolling eyes here*

So go ahead, smoke a joint "responsibly"....just be sure to have that candle ready.
