Welcome to my blog. In the internet world, I am a little part that exists. Here you'll find recipes, rants, a few history lessons, and general silliness.

You may recall a blog entry a while back that featured a post from a drunk girl and was followed up by a post from a guy translating her incoherent message. I have yet another post about those two. Their screen names (from a Buffy the Vampire posting board) are Kissing Toast (aka KT) and Wicca Willow (aka WW). It seems they have become very good friends, nothing romantic, just friends. He took the bus down from Canada to Ohio to meet her and she posted about it....it's funny. Here's the post from Wicca Willow: ... So...today I did claim from the shady Columbus bus station one fun ass Canadian. His bus was late. We figured that the massive influx of Amish people had converted him and carried him off to their homesteads. We then proceeded to eat at the All American Johnny Rockets. Mmmm, meat spoon. My parents were convinced KT was a psychopathic killer. Alas, he is not. Matt decided he would call my mom to freak her out and go..."Oh...god...Emily. SO...Much...blood." *KT screaming* *dialtone* On the way home, God decided to rain down hellfire...wait...it was rain. We almost died 40 times. On the way out of Columbus, where ever we went all the power went out. We feared some odd "Darkness Falls" toothfairy deal...alas, it was just KT and his energy sapping. We also proceeded to get lost in the ghetto. That was scary. We sang rousing versions of Buffy Musical numbers...it was pretty. We sound like a choir of angels. We then decided to rent four hundred movies. Tonight we partook in the misadventure that is TRON. *shakes head* Oh christ. That was BAD. Then, Matt kicked our ass at the Buffy board game. Damn you Xander. Damn you and your lack of explosives. So yes. Now sporting jammies we must find other things to do. We may go watch a movie entitled "Octopus 2, River of Terror." Why is an octopus in a river? We'll let you know. ... To clear something up, Xander (short for Alexander) is a guy on Buffy. Also, I think Matt is WW's brother, but I'm not 100% sure about that. He may just be her roommate. Anyway, hope you thought that was funny. And when she explains what an octopus was doing in a river, I'll let you know ;) ... Now I'll leave you with some food for thought. Being nice seems like something that should come naturally. Yet, it seems like as the years pass, we have become a lot less nicer. Even 10 years ago I think people were much nicer. What will we be like 10 years from now? I had a customer call me this morning and he was anything but nice. In fact, he told me he was sure I'd screw things up and make his life harder rather than easier. Now, I do have the power to do this.....make his life hard....and when people call and bitch, saying they are sure I'll F*** up their account, it doesn't make me very sensitive to their situation. This customer could have called and been polite, but for some reason, he thought being an ass would get him better service. I *assure* you, this is never the case. You will always get better service if you are nice and polite when you need help from someone. Don't call and tell them how bad you think they might be at their job....this is only asking for them to do something like *accidently* misplace your paper work or...oops, *forget* to activate your account until the next day. They could very well become the crappy worker you told them they would be. I'll also add that, being smart is good, too. Smart people don't rush in to a situation with an attitude. Smart people know they'll catch more bees with honey than with vinegar. That's it....I'll get off my soapbox now. Oh, and don't worry....I didn't *accidently forget* to activate this dork's account. Lucky for him, I'm damn good at my job and feel it's too bad he thinks he has to be a dick to get what he wants. This will backfire on him someday....if it hasn't already. posted by Kitty Wednesday, March 12, 2003
