To have style....or not

I think there is a chance I'm turning into one of those people who choose to dress in what is comforting. Not comfortable, but comforting.

Let me explain.

I'm an 80's child. When I see those acid washed jeans with the zippers on the legs and high top Reeboks, I smile at the memories. I would wear those jeans if I could get them on....so perhaps it's a blessing I can't.

A year or two ago, this friend of Greg's was going to have an all 80's birthday party. I got very excited at the prospect of shopping for my 80's party outfit! I ended up getting a black pleated skirt that has two red and black checkered panels and safety pins all over it. It reminds me of something Billy Idol would wear if he had to dress up like a girl. It was a rockin' good outfit. Get it....rockin'....
*snicker*. Okay, okay, so the point of this is, I like this 80's punk rock skirt so much that I wear it.....outside.....were people can see me. Really good thing those jeans don't fit.

I got my Lucky Magazine yesterday. It's the fall preview issue. This is when I realized I might not be embracing the current style. I avoid boot cut jeans even tho they are what everyone is buying. Oh, and the low rise thing....I always feel like I'm tugging to get them up....as if they have slipped down....but they won't "go up". I'm trying to deal with this new style thing I guess. However, you can mark my words on this: I will not wear tweed crop pants with boots. It's on every other page of the magazine. Not gonna happen. I'll wear tweed...maybe. I just don't want to look like Buffy's Watcher.

Anyway, that's me on style.

This is funny, but I would not drive this
truck.

Ever wonder what Keanu Reeves really looks like? You know, when he's just hanging out and not on a movie set....
