Welcome to my blog. In the internet world, I am a
little part that exists. Here you'll find recipes, rants, a few history lessons, and general silliness.
2. My iSnug: I love this. I can ride the shuttle and have my iPod on my arm and not have to fumble around with it in my pocket (if I even have a pocket). I see so many people with them in pockets or just holding them and it seems like such a pain in the butt. I got my iSnug for $12 bucks!
3. Chow Mein Bowls by Nissin: These are not your Grandpa's Cup O Noodles! You have to try them if you like ramen....they're really good. I had Cup O Noodles almost every day for lunch when I was poor. You'd think I would never want to see another one of those soup cups again, but I still eat them. I've tried the chicken and the Teriyaki Beef flavors of the Chow Mein Bowls...both were yummy! One note about these tho...you *must* microwave them like the package says. Hot water alone will not do the job. Give one a try.
4. Urban Decay Body Powders: I have a pink glimer powder and a gold glimer powder and I love them. They have all different scents, tho they are not strong at all. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who can smell it when I have it on. Some of the glimer powers are too shimmery for me, but this one is applied with a cute little puff so you can put on as much or as little as you want!
5. My Canon Digital Rebel: I don't know what I did before I got this camera. Photography is the best hobby I have ever had. I would be so sad without my camera.
6. Flickr!: And what makes having a digital camera even better? Having a Flickr account, too! If you have a digital camera, sign up for an account. It's free and it's a lot of fun. I know this might sound weird, but I think I have learned to take better pictures because of I have a Flickr account. Looking at other people's work gives you ideas and you see other ways of taking pictures that you might have never thought of before. I've taken a lot of my early photo's down, but if you look on the very last pages of my account, you will see how much better I am now.....and I've only had my camera since February!
7. Oprah: I know this sounds cheesey and all that, but I have learned a lot from her. If we all were as good of a person as Oprah is, the world would be a much better place. If you can get your hands of a copy of "The Best of Oprah's What I Know For Sure" book, read it. This was a supplement to Oprah's 5th anniversary issue. I'm not kidding when I say it changed me.
8. DVR: Get rid of Tivo and get a DVR. You can record 3 shows at one time and it is a lot less expensive than Tivo.
9. West Elm: Have you been to West Elm? They have really cool stuff. Everytime I go in there I find something I want. Currently they have a bed frame I'd like to buy. They also have some bedding I love, some cool accessories for my living room, a pretty aqua bath mat set, *and* a bunch of Christmas decorations I want. It's a good thing I don't have a credit card there.
10. Chevys Restaurant: Such good Mexican food. I almost always get their shrimp & crab enchiladas. Plus, Their salsa and chips are the best!
